Quick Intro

Welcome to the University of Edinburgh Chemistry Undergraduate Teaching Labs blogsite. This is a new idea we’ve just launched, where we ‘ll provide a resource to help you with your lab work, and a platform for undergraduates (and postgraduates) to hone their writing and publishing skills. Everyone is welcome to play a big part in developing the content.

We want to create a teaching and learning tool to benefit undergraduates in each year of study, while initiating professional development for students from day one. We have experienced editorial staff who will work with you, and train you in the skills needed for writing and editing your own material.

Writing and contributing to the content development of Kirsop Labs will arm you with specialist skills in web writing, editing and publishing – skills you may not yet realise the importance of. So if you’re interested in finding out how to get involved in writing articles for the Kirsop Labs blogsite, just leave your details on the form provided on the Contact page.

Feel free to browse through the links – you’ll see that we’ve just started to layout the design for the website. It’s early days and we’ll be tinkering and changing the layout in the coming months. Over time you’ll find things like revision videos, techniques videos and many, many articles on everything from how to calculate a solution dilution, to how to survive the labs!

We hope you like it and find it useful. It would be great to hear what you think of the site as time goes on, so please drop us a line anytime with any questions or comments.
