Notes for your information
You need to use a Reference Manager System (RMS) if you want to produce a professional piece of work. This is not to be confused with a scientific database such as SciFinder, or Google Scholar. An RMS is a place to organise and store your references/papers/articles once you have downloaded them from your database search.
Please allow yourself time to learn how to use one of the many RMS options available. My recommendation is to use Mendeley – this is free software which means you can access your library on any computer, anywhere, and you won’t be restricted by your host institution’s licensing laws. Think about that when you finally leave university – you’ll want to take your library with you!
As a brief introduction, here’s a link to a presentation on what a good RMS can do for you, along with some useful links.
